Slack at Salesforce events

From Dreamforce to TDX, see how we make an impression as a guest and partner at Salesforce events.

See our other guidelines for how Slack shows up Slack-led events.

Highlights

  • Follow this guidance for events hosted by Salesforce and third-party events that feature both brands
  • Use Salesforce branding as your design foundation and dial up the Slack brand using approved brand elements
  • While you’re here, explore the full depth of our brand guidelines for more details

Introduction

For events where Slack appears in tandem with Salesforce—either hosted by Salesforce or by a third party—lead with Salesforce branding. These opportunities allow us to lean on the power of the Salesforce brand and showcase both the independent and combined power of our companies. Within them, we draw from specific elements of the Slack brand to establish our presence.

Design

When Slack shows up in a Salesforce environment, Slack branding is secondary to Salesforce branding.

Salesforce brand

The following elements should follow Salesforce branding and guidance:

Typography

Use Salesforce fonts

Environmental

Adhere to Salesforce events guidance and templates for structures, decor, scenery and foiliage

Illustration

Lead with Salesforce illustration styles, but don’t use Salesforce illustrations to represent Slack concepts or our product

Editorial style

Use Salesforce editorial style, but be mindful of Slack product naming

Characters

Can show up in Slack spaces on templated signage or when directly related to content; avoid adding characters to Slack environments beyond this

Salesforce logo

Adhere to Salesforce guidelines for how Salesforce logos appear throughout the event
Always follow approved Salesforce event templates for all deliverables. For further Salesforce guidance and resources, visit Salesforce Brand Central.

Slack brand

To promote our brand and product or to create Slack-specific environments, use the following Slack brand elements:

Color

Default to aubergine for high-impact moments and our core palette for all other applications; use Slack core or secondary colors for device backgrounds

Emoji

Use to add brand personality, delight and emotional connection, not as a core conceptual idea. Always select from our approved Joypixel emoji set, not system defaults.

Emoji

Use to add brand personality, delight and emotional connection, not as a core conceptual idea. Always select from our approved 24 Joypixel emoji set , not system defaults.

Emoji

Use to add brand personality, delight and emotional connection, not as a core conceptual idea. Always select from our approved Joypixel emoji set , not system defaults.

Brand shapes

Use to house content and to inspire shapes of physical signage and decor; set in Slack brand colors

Product UI

Stay true to all Slack product elements; don’t build UI with Salesforce elements or alter our product appearence

Slack logo

Default to the logo (name and mark) in most cases, but especially in entry and welcome moments; use the mark (octothorpe) if the full logo proves too distracting or space is limited

Content

Within Salesforce presentation templates and demo stations, lean on Slack illustration styles and product UI when demonstrating Slack-specific content
Be thoughtful and intentional with brand elements to reinforce the power of Slack for work. Always consider our brand values when designing Slack experiences, even in Salesforce spaces: empathy, courtesy, playfulness, craftsmanship, solidarity and thriving.

Usage

Don’t install octothorpe in the wrong orientation
Don't lean too much on playfulness at the expense of sophistication and craftsmanship
Don’t use Salesforce characters with Slack illustrations
